Abstract
In the computer-aided layout of electrical circuits, a force model, which models interconnection affinites between components by means of attractive and repulsive forces, can be used for the placement of components. A structuring of system equations for the force model is introduced, which corresponds to the system equations for the analysis of electrical circuits. Equations for the determination of the optimum neighborhood-constellation of components are formulated. The high degree of stability, the good numerical results, and the low number of iteration steps in the quadratically convergent solution procedure are pointed out.
