Abstract
The economy of information processing in centralized or decentralized organizational concepts is investigated on an example of an office communication system. The introductory discussion of a technical nature is followed by a detailed examination, and a formulation of a suitable solution is presented. It is understood that all the considerations applying to data- and/or communication techniques can be readily, more or less, transferred to other fields, for example computer aided design and/or manufacture.
