Widely wavelength tunable optical filters using characteristics of long-range surface plasmon polaritons

Abstract

We report widely tunable optical band-pass filters based on long-range surface plasmon polaritons. A 210nm of wavelength tuning is achieved with a 0.004 variation in the refractive index of the top filter cladding dielectric.
