Abstract
A successful realisation of widely tunable lasers based on a new design is presented. The lasers use a vertically integrated, electronically tunable Mach-Zehnder interferometer inside the resonator to select single Fabry-Pérot resonances. With single-current tuning, a tuning range of 35 nm is experimentally demonstrated.
