Abstract

To cope with the effort of process restructuring and modifications companies do set up departments for process management and implement business process management systems. Implementation and positioning of process management do often not consider goals and challenges of the company. Within the article value-orientation in process management is presented. It helps to make costs and benefits more transparent. Based on the value-oriented analysis the added-value and the positioning of process management can be identified.
