Abstract
Numerical control is a key component of modern machine-tools. Open circuits offer the possibility to cut down the high expenditures for development work. Accordingly, software modules have been developed for such open control systems in a BMBF (German Federal Ministry for Research) compound project. The procedure and first partial results are introduced here at the example of a module for a tool management system.
