Abstract

We numerically explored the coupling characteristics and the critical interplay with the end-facet reflectivities of nanowire lasers coupled to proximal silicon-waveguides. A proper waveguide design enables high coupling efficiencies with enhanced end-facet reflectivities of sim 83%.
