Abstract
Fiber reinforced plastics, especially preimpregnated fibers (prepregs), dispose of outstanding mechanical properties. This is the reason why they are used in the aeronautics industry for example. On the other side, manufacturing costs are very high. Therefore, in this contribution, a methodology for the anticipatory scheduling of prepreg thawing is presented and evaluated. It is shown that this leads to a better adherence to schedules and reduced scrap.
