Abstract
Five beams were tested, two of which were provided with a small quantity of shear reinforcement, two with medium shear reinforcement, and one with heavy shear reinforcement. Making use of symmetry, it was possible to investigate different bar diameters and stirrup spacings or different types of concrete (beam made half of lightweight and half of ordinary concrete) in one and the same beam.
