Abstract
In progress of the current reforms, the retreat of state from tasks and privatization the liberal profession in the field of surveying is complaining about an unreadiness of state surveying administrative bodies delivering tasks to the liberal profession. The following essay is busy with the question whether the administrative bodies and liberal profession should look for new national and international tasks together. This would be much better then raising a quarrel about splitting the current tasks. The FIG-vision about the profession of the surveyor-model of integrated competence - is able to subserve the effort opening up new tasks. Therefore a closed and more concerted action is an essential condition for success.
