Abstract
By using stationary energy storage systems for reduction of power peaks, load shifting and increasing the on-site power usage, manufacturing companies can minimize their energy costs. The market price for battery systems however is inter alia heavily dependent on the electrification of the transport sector and therefore associated with the increasing demand of resources for battery production. This article indicates the potential of coordinated charging processes of electric vehicles to support the industrial energy management.
