Abstract

The properties of knitted carbon fibres, used as a reinforcement for composite materials, are described. The textile knit structure, its mechanical properties, and the advantages it offers over other reinforcements in terms of cost effectiveness, favourable mechanical characteristics and design freedom are indicated.
