Abstract
The Munich heavy-ion postaccelerator has been extended, consisting now of two cavities with an interdigital H-type structure. The frequency is doubled in the second section. The special beam dynamics developed for 0 degree -synchronous particle structures is described. It has resulted in good particle transmission though only one compact quadrupole doublet is installed over the length of both linacs. Beam-time experience confirms the transport calculations.
