Abstract
The teaching program "Toolbox"is designed to guide teachers' promotion of students' health literacy. It was structured by linking obligatory frameworks of school-based media education and dimensions of health literacy (finding, understanding and evaluating) and includes topic-specific cross-sectional exercises that guide the individual steps of searching for health information in digital environments.
