Abstract
Even after the receding E-Business boom, the entrepreneurial environment is still experiencing far-reaching changes. Global market demand for products and services that can be provided on an ever-increasingly short-term basis and which are more tailored to individual customer requirements constitutes a challenge to companies to tread new paths. Towards this end, concentration on core competencies - together with the frequently associated necessity for dynamic, cross-company cooperational relationships -constitutes a possible means of ensuring efficient entrepreneurial value creation. The following article puts forward methods and problem-solving approaches by means of which producer companies can successfully meet the requirements set by the networked manufacturing sector.
