Abstract
The element specific domain structure of a microstructure CoFeB/MnIr exchange bias film was analyzed using photoemission electron microscopy (PEEM) and x-ray magnetic linear dichroism (XMLD). It was observed that the domains inside the dots showed higher deviation from the exchange bias direction. It was found that in the dots the magnetization showed less preferred orientation along the exchange bias direction. The results show the uncompensated Mn spins with an antiferromagnetic coupling between Mn and Co magnetic moments by Imaging and spectromicroscopy.
