Abstract
Innovative developments in food packaging are taking place continuously. However, these developments are little noticed by consumers whose main interests are on matters such as the migration of undesired substances into foods and the environmental impact of the packaging. The major challenge for the plastics industry is to tackle these issues by introducing constant improvements.
