Abstract
Additional exposure of the population in the vicinity of a modern municipal incineration plant amounts to less than 1 % of the estimated daily background intake of TCDD-Equivalents. Air concentration of inorganic materials and metals are similar or lower than those found in rural areas and are without risk to human health.
