Abstract

SARs may enable the evaluation of the toxic potential of chemicals by drawing conclusions from available data on structurally-related chemicals, thus reducing the need for further testing. The Advisory Committee on Existing Chemicals of Environmental Relevance (BUA) of the German Chemical Society (Gesellschaft Deutscher Chemiker [GDCh]) has compiled data on the toxicity and ecological impact for several groups of chemicals. In the present review, some common toxicological properties for aliphatic amines were revealed after evaluation and comparison of the toxicity data.
