Abstract
Distributed microwave circuits are analyzed in time domain using the Transmission Line Matrix (TLM) method. Prony's model-based Spectral Analysis (SA) methods are used to compute S- -parameters from truncated TLM signals. The model extraction can be performed in parallel with the running TLM simulation. As soon as the deviation of the transient responses computed form the extracted models falls below a given threshold TLM simulation is discontinued. By this way the computation time can be reduced up to 50% without loss of accuracy. The methods are applied to the modeling of micromachined millimeter wave circuits.
