Abstract

Time and frequency-gated (TFG) spontaneous emission (SE) was discussed as a tool for studying vibrational dynamics in the excited state. The doorway-window picture of temporally and spectrally resolved spectra was developed. It was found that the TFG SE spectrum carried information on the strength of the system-bath coupling and the relative magnitude of the bath correlation time.
