Thermodynamical study under hydrostatic pressure of MnSi

Abstract

We report a study under pressure on the field dependence of magnetic susceptibility χ(H) and magnetoresistivity ρ(H) on single crystals of the weakly itinerant helimagnet system MnSi. Close to the critical pressure Pc = 14.8 kbar, the shapes of χ(H) and ρ(H) indicate some metamagnetic behaviors induced by the external magnetic field.
