Abstract

The novel vanadium cluster tetrakis[carbonyl(η⁵-cyclopentadienyl)- vanadium has been prepared in 32% yield by thermal disproportionation of μ-dicarbonyltricarbonylbis(η⁵-cyclopentadienylvanadium) (V-V) in boiling tetrahydrofuran.
