Abstract

Similar to the planning of new railway lines, also within the scope of the planning of the maglev line "Transrapid" in Munich/Germany, the vehicle induced vibrations had to be considered. At the basis of the guide-ways and the vehicles, as well as of measurements of input-impedances and soil-vibrations at the test-track, models for the theoretical assessment were developed and calibrated. In the following, the various mechanisms of excitation are discussed. The applied models for loads and guide-ways are highlighted. Resulting vibrations and measures to reduce them are depicted.
