T1 - The geometric representation of electrodynamics by exterior differential forms
AU - Russer, Peter
PY - 2013
Y1 - 2013
N2 - The aim of this contribution is to show that electromagnetic theory can be simplified and clarified by geometric formulation. The geometric formulation of Maxwell's theory accomplished by exterior differential calculus introduces geometrical imagery and supports physical understanding. Exterior differential calculus has simple and concise rules for computation. The objects of exterior differential calculus have a clear geometrical significance and the laws of electromagnetics assume a simple and elegant form.
