Abstract
The systematic study of metal–metal interactions in heterodinuclear complexes requires a straightforward and general synthetic route to such species. Compound 1, the key intermediate in a new approach, reacts via 2 to give complexes whose metal centers are bridged by a bis(cyclopentadienyl)methane moiety. (Figure Presented.)
