Abstract

Dimensionally instable parts are classified into groups of shapes. Fundamental tasks are worked out for two-dimensional structures and possible solutions to their handling are discussed. For a number of two-dimensional parts handling by means of vacuum effectors seems to be the obvious solution. Criteria are set up and information is provided for their design. Finally examples for the automated assembly of two-dimensional structures are presented.
