N2 - In this project, we used text analysis and text mining means provided by SAP HANA and SAP Predictive Analytics Library (PAL) on job offers in the field of Industry 4.0. Recent technological developments, e.g., in the fields of sensors, databases, or data analytics, resulted in the fourth industrial revolution - or Industry 4.0. These lead to changes in our working environment. Thus, employees are facing changing skill and competency requirements for which they have to be qualified appropriately. To find out, which requirements are demanded in an Industry 4.0 environment, we collected job offers from German online job portals for several months. We applied text analysis and text mining methods and algorithms offered by SAP HANA and SAP PAL to them in order to extract skill and competency requirements.
