Abstract
Results of 25 tests conducted with ribbed plates and spliced bars are given. Constant parameters maintained were the quality of concrete, the quality of steel and bar diameter. Two spliced bars were placed in each specimen. The bars were tended by equal forces. The splices were most staggered by half the splice length. Some tests were carried out without staggering.
