Abstract
The subjective evaluation of the loudness and annoyance of the noise produced by different types of aircraft during take-off is compared to physical evaluation of loudness and perceived noisiness, as well as A- and D-weighted levels measured with the time constants 'impulse,' 'fast,' and 'slow.' Loudness (ISO 532B) shows excellent agreement and perceived noisiness good agreement to subjective evaluation, whereas weighted levels deviate substantially.
