Abstract

The use of new production technologies is a major challenge for manufacturing companies. However, these companies often do not know, how to search for alternative production technologies in spite of long term impact of decisions on them. This paper therefore presents a method focusing on the systematic identification of production technologies. The method is applied by the example of automotive large scale series production of fiber reinforced plastic (FRP) components.
