Abstract

Reductive cleavage of the methylphosphoniatriazaadamantane cation by sodium in liquid ammonia affords the new bicyclic ligand (MeP)(CH₂) ₅N₂(NMe) whose structure has been determined from crystals of its 1 : 1 complex with AuCl.
