Synthesis and characterisation of ring-substituted POCOP halide complexes of group 10 metals

Abstract

The synthesis and full characterisation of a series of ring-substituted tBuPOCOPtBu halide complexes of group 10 metals [3,5-R2(tBuPOCOPtBu)MX] (3,5-R2(tBuPOCOPtBu) = κ3-C5HR2-2,6-(OPtBu2)2 with R = tBu, COOMe; X = Cl, I; M = Ni, Pd, Pt) are described. The structure of all complexes was confirmed by X-ray crystal structure analysis. DFT analysis to evaluate the electronic influence of the tBu and COOMe substituents was performed.
