Abstract
Report on a rare and hitherto unknown complication of acute hemorrhagic necrotizing pancreatitis: the hemorrhagic symmetrical infarction of the ureters with complete obstruction of the lumen in the middle third part. The cause of the hemorrhagic infarction is tryptic necrosis with thrombosis of ureteral veins and small arteries combined with disturbances of blood coagulation and blood sludge in postpancreatitic shock. Anuria was the leading clinical symptom.
