Abstract
The possibility of observing visible-visible sum-frequency generation (SFG) in chiral liquids is demonstrated. The chiral nonlinear susceptibility is however small as it suffers from molecular orientational average. Delocalized electrons associated with the chiral molecular structure and resonant enhancement could be effective in bringing SFG above the detection limit.
