Abstract

The Introduction of lean production systems has prospered during previous years within the industry. Using well-known principles and methods from the Toyota Production System, companies tried to find a holistic approach for themselves. Although these attempts are recognized as a big challenge for the organization as there has to be found an individual and situational approach. Using a new typological concept important recommendations for an individual configuration can be given.
