Abstract
According to an assessment performed at the request of Deutsche Bahn AG, the support bearings used for non-ballasted track should feature a low elasticity in order to ensure smooth vehicle running. The analysis considers the secondary deflections of the rail and the step resulting from a transverse rail fracture.
