Abstract

In times of digital transformation, the lack of specialist skills and unequal gender relations in the areas of computer science and technology are already existent. But how does Work and Industry 4.0 influence the choice of study, the further study and the transition into profession? Our project will at the end give recommendations for stakeholders in the field of STEM2 to attract and retain competent employees in the workplace in the light of various upcoming social and organisational changes. The aim of this paper is to present not only the aim and concept of our ongoing longitudinal mixed-method study at its early stage but also to highlight preliminary results from first waves of the surveys and interviews conducted.
