Abstract
This paper investigates the BIBO-stable linear systems. It is shown that such systems can split into two subsystems. One of these subsystems is a convolution system. The second component does not represent a convolution. The results show that not each LTI-system is a convolution system. The input-output behaviour of the LTI-systems is analyzed for special signal classes. The structure of energy stable systems is also investigated. It is shown, that the input-output-behaviour of these systems is given by the familiar sum.
