Abstract

Increasing product variety and the related demand volatility are major challenges for production logistics. Dynamic approaches for the control of in-plant milkruns allow flexible adaption to varying demands in real time. To support planners in the implementation of dynamic milkrun systems this article presents a morphological classification of approaches for the control of in-plant milkruns based on empirical research and industry case studies.
