Abstract

Methylalumoxane (MAO)-activated rac-[1,2-bis(η5-(9-fluorenyl))-1-phenylethane]zirconium dichloride (1) was used for propene polymerization at 30, 50, and 70°C and constant monomer concentration. The polypropene products are isotactic with stereoregularities depending on the polymerization temperature. The pentad distributions follow "enantiomorphic site statistics", indicating stereocontrol being conducted by the chiral catalyst site.
