Abstract
Automatic miniload warehouses with storage and retrieval machines are used in intralogistics to decouple demand and supply. The design of the racks is a critical factor for the space-efficient configuration of these systems. This publication presents two approaches for optimizing rack design: a heuristic inspired by practical methods and a mixedinteger linear optimization problem. Both aproaches are compared in a parameter study.
