Abstract
Developing an energy supply holding any promise for the future will have to include hydro power as a factor of decisive importance. Research in this field is increasingly focussing on questions of ecology as well as on increasing efficiency in the use of existing plant and potentials. This article introduces three fields of research being treated at present at the Munich University of Technology.
