Abstract

The angular momentum selection rules for the transfer of p 1 2 nucleon to j> and j< final states, and the recently observed angular L-dependence in heavy-ion transfer reactions can be used to determine final-state spins. This is shown for the reaction 48Ca(15N, 14C)49Sc.
