Abstract

The specific heat of a single crystal sample of UPt3 has been measured as grown and after a brief heat treatment down to temperatures of 35 and 15 mK respectively. While the heat treatment changes the superconducting fraction of the sample, an additional low temperature increase of c/T is seen which seems to be independent of superconductivity.
