Abstract

Grinding to 1 mu m size reduces the superconducting temperature of PbMo//6S//8 from approximately 14 K to below 1. 05 K. A size effect is excluded. No crystallographic changes are detected. Low temperature specific heat data are presented. Based on the low gamma and the nearly unchanged phonon contribution, we conclude that the T//c degradation is, phenomenologically, an electronic effect.
