Abstract
Due to increasing energy costs and for ecological reasons, the specific energy consumption of ship unloading equipment is becoming more important. Investigations carried out at the Technical University of Munich, Germany,for various ship unloading equipment for bulk materials, especially coal, show interesting and partly surprising results.
