Abstract

In this paper, some tools for speaker-independent, isolated word recognition systems are described and discussed. The intention of the author was to introduce some algorithms of the field of system theory, system dynamics and stochastics to speech processing, which could be used for speaker-independent word recognition. Several methods were developed and implemented on a minicomputer and are explained in the particular sections of this paper.
