Abstract
3D position and deformation of scattering objects in a scene can be retrieved by TomoSAR. In particular, the retrieved rich scatterer information using meter-resolution SAR images enables us to generate point clouds of the illuminated area in urban environment with a density comparable to LiDAR (1 million/km2/stack). In this paper we demonstrate the next steps after TomoSAR retrieval: 1) fusion of descending and ascending point clouds, 2) estimation of building models under consideration of the specific statistical properties of TomoSAR retrievals. Examples using TerraSAR-X high resolution spotlight data stacks will be presented.
