Abstract
This paper presents an AC induction motor drive system operating under the field oriented control strategy with a control loop for the angular shaft speed. The drive structure includes a wound rotor 1.5kW induction machine, supplied by a three phase bipolar inverter and mechanically coupled to a DC generator. The overall operation of the drive is based on a 80386/87 microcomputer. All the software is coded in C language. The machine parameters are obtained by using a non-linear estimation technique. The design of the controllers of the stator current and torque-flux loop are executed with the parameters obtained from the non-linear algorithm. The experimental results show the correctness of the proposed design methodology under different operating conditions.
